LAST EVENING
At 6:00pm we went to the theater for the Seven Seas Society Cocktail Party. Our Cruise Consultants, Daniela and Jacques, were the hosts of the party. Here they are announcing how many guests there are on board in each category.
Silver (21 to 74 nights on Regent) 151 guests
Gold (75 to 199 nights on Regent) 182 guests
Platinum (200 to 399 nights on Regent) 97 guests
Titanium (400 to 999 nights on Regent) 73 guests
Diamond (1000 to 1999 nights on Regent) 23 guests We are in this category with 1015 nights!.
Commodore (2000+ nights on Regent) 7 guests
Only the Diamonds and Commodores have been invited to stay onboard when we arrive in Miami on December 9th for the 4 day christening cruise.
The Captain and General Manager then presented pins to the folks who had progressed to the next category.
We had over a half hour before we were to meet the F&B at the entrance of Compass Rose so headed up to the Observation Lounge for a cocktail and some wine.
Stephane, our Food & Beverage Manager, had invited these folks to join him for dinner. On left are Pat & Jim Bittle (our friends). Couple in the middle were Arlene and Marv Levin. Stephane is on my left. Mark, our wine sommelier, made this selfie. Love him. We both had this Mykonos salad. Greek salad. It is very good.
Always on the SSS party dinner menu is miso-glazed sea bass. Absolutely our favorite entree on Regent cruises. It is marinated for 48 hours prior to grilling. I asked for a double order.
Also loved this white chocolate croissant pudding for dessert. Chef Michael and the restaurant manager, Marius, stopped by our table. Next stop was the theater for our cruise director's show at 9:30. David Niven is a VERY talented singer. What a great voice!! Definitely Broadway quality.
Back to our suite after his show. Last night we moved our clocks back another hour so got extra sleep. The ship was moving about again last night as we were passing through another low pressure area. I put the other half of the scopolamine patch on before hitting the hay. When I got up this morning the patch was stuck to my pillow however. My pillow didn't get sea sick!! But neither did I.
Big crowd at the Fair so it was hard to walk around. When you play one of the games you get a ticket. You deposit them here as there will be drawings for prizes after the games are over.

TODAY
Same morning routine but when I was having my coffee in Coffee Connection the internet was not working. Hugo said it was being switched from the European satellite to US one and the internet would be available again within the hour. So I returned to the suite. He was right as we had internet again by 9:00am. I got last evening's photos uploaded and on this post before 10:00am.
The ship is still experiencing some movement so no treadmill for us today. I went up to the pool deck at 10:30 to get some photos of the "Country Fair". This is where the different departments set up booths with games for us to play. It just lasts a half hour. I am sure the crew has more fun than us passengers!

Now that the internet is switched over to the US, Rebecca can stream Paramount Plus. Now she can watch the Bold & Beautiful and Young and Restless soaps she has missed since leaving home. She's very happy now!!
Our position at noon. We will have two more days at sea before arriving at Bermuda on Tuesday, 5th. It is partly sunny and 72 degrees outside today. We are rocking about some but the Captain said we should smooth out tonight as we are heading for a high pressure area.
Sat at our usual table in La Veranda for lunch. I ordered this burger at the pool grill. I waited for 20 minutes and still no burger, so I asked a head waiter to go check on it. He brought it to me a few minutes later. The hamburger was great. I like the smaller size. I also enjoyed some potato salad.
I'm waiting for a nice, sunny day to take photos of the pool deck (Deck 11) and sports deck (Deck 12). They had Deck 12 access blocked off today due to weather.
There are three speakers onboard with presentations in mornings and afternoons. I have not been attending them but have watched a couple on our tv, as they are taped and played on tv later.
At 6:00 this evening we will once again head up to the Observation Lounge for cocktail hour. Our long time Regent cruise friends, Jimbo & Mary Ann Todd will be joining us for dinner in Compass Rose at 7:00. They are good ole Oklahoma folks and know our conversation will be lively. They became Commodores on the world cruise earlier this year when we became Diamonds.
I know the four of us will be attending tonight's production show, "Ignite the Night", at 9:30.
We are setting our clocks back another hour tonight.
